    Hello everyone
The boot on my 07 Golf wont unlock since Friday.
there is no keyhole- the latch is the VW badge on the boot.
so it usually just locks/unlocks along with the doors using the keyfob

youtube has a few videos but it involves lots of screwdrivers and panels :(

Wonder if the cold weather has sized it up?
    and ideas i wonder
    Thanks
    Cookie

Does the latch feel easy or normal? Could the mechanism have become unhooked?

It is possible it has seized because of the cold but then it should thaw during the day. If car is kept outdoors try to park it indoors in a parking garage etc for a few hours and see if that helps.

    Thanks Biko
but i just figured it out.
it was just something to do with the keyfob:

    1) Hit the unlock button twice so as to unlock all of the doors.
    2) Press and hold the hatch/trunk release button until you hear it unlock (about 2-3 seconds).
