Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone rent their house to the government/council.
I believe they can act as landlord.
Would be good to know if anyone here does it, pros and cons.
    Cheers

You are referring to the long term leasing schemes. Only those schemes relieve you of being landlord under the RTB (you're still landlord to the council).

Major con is the rates paid.

Not just the discount on market rate but the council's idea of market rate in the first place.

There are a couple of threads on this. Its is a 10 or 20 year lease and virtually impossible to get your property back before that term is up
