HO friesian have won taste and tenderness competitions up against AA and HE. John Heney of the farming indo got some cuts from his own and a top chef commented that it was as good as any other beef. Biggest issue with beef is that it need to be hung long enough. At lest 3 weeks and ideally a few days with that

we had a fr born missing 3 ribs on 1 side , we killed her at 15 months as the hernia she had was getting larger and obviously starting to cause her distress.

we're not big beef eaters but the meat was divine, real tender and lovely flavour

I know a fella that takes two jersey cross bull calves off a neighbouring farmer and kills them at 12/13 months-grandest meat ever

Friesians are a traditional breed just as much as Hereford or Angus. Their meat is as good if not better.

It might not suit the factory to give the 12c bonuses 😂

Had a heifer which wouldn't go in calf, wasn't a twin but turned out to be effectively a freemartin.
The vet reckoned there was a male early on but had been reabsorbed or something.

Anyway, she was given a few chances to go in calf but ended up in the freezer.
As other have said, was lovely beef.

Somebody, somewhere is eating a lot of Friesian bullock beef. I imagine Friesian heifer beef isn't too different.
