    Wanted Road bike for turbo trainer only!

    Steel or aluminum

    Medium size (around 54cm)

    Can’t use my carbon bikes as they may crack so just looking for a basic bike that will only be used on the turbo trainer.

    Condition of bike not too worried about.

    Looking to spend 200 - 300 euro

    Cheers

    Will be selling a Specialized Allez (54cm) in coming weeks with new BB and 105 53/39 chainring/ wheel service in that price bracket - would also be perfect as a winter/ training bike

    Based in Whitehall if you wanted to check it out

    Here are some photos of the Specialized Allez as promised. The bike is the 2011 model and I am the second owner. I have used it for approx 2500 km per year for audaxing and have maintained it well - there are scrapes and scuffs as you'd expect but the bike itself is in good mechanical order with a new BB and 105 5800 53/39 crankset installed in January.

    Bike would come minus saddle (the one in the photos is a lend from an audax contact as looking into switching to a Brooks saddle but comes with the original Specialized 143cm saddle in perfect condition). I will also hang onto the raceblades for the commuter bike.

    Let me know if interested - I am looking at a new Specialized Diverge so unfortunately have to let this go beforehand.

    Thanks for the interest

    What sort of money are you looking for this Matt? Seems a shame to put it on a turbo.

    @MojoMaker

    You're right as there's a lot of life in it beyond being parked on a turbo - it's a fantastic winter bike and has served me well but as I mentioned I need to move it on for the new arrival!

    I am looking for €300 - jlz1 is planning a viewing in the coming fortnight as I'm still working on the finances but let me know if also interested and I can keep you posted

    That Felt F75 for €125 including some turbo accessories makes a lot more sense for an indoor project. Be a shame to put an Allez to work on the turbo.
