Ain't no use trying to hide from the LLS Valentine's Special! :D

Host Ryan Tubridy will be summoning ‘the power of love’ as The Late Late Show welcomes 200 single men and women to one of Irish television’s most talked about nights.

Ryan will also welcome the stars of the new comedy series 'The Young Offenders'. Alex Murphy, Chris Walley, Hilary Rose and PJ Gallagher will be on the couch to chat about taking their widely acclaimed hit movie to the small screen with a brand new six-part series on RTÉ2…

80s pop diva Sinitta will be performing one of her biggest hits.

Our Panel of Love – comedian and broadcaster Doireann Garrihy, country singer Philomena Begley and presenter Eoghan McDermott – will be doling out some sage, and possibly not so sage, advice to the hapless singletons in the audience.

Plus there will be performances by 80s pop legends T’Pau singing China in Your Hand and country star Mike Denver with his version of a much loved classic..

    Tomorrow night, 9.35pm!

I hope T'Pau also sing another of their hits 'Valentine', because of the night that's in it.

Thinly veiled I know more than one T'Pau song post.

There will be no shortage of wet gussets, there will be no need for the Gusset brothers.

Yet another useless Tubridy show. The promotion of 2 RTE shows, an Irish pop singer who has already been on a hundred times and the usual filler inner love games with the audience. On the upside, there is no Katie Hopkins or Al Porter which makes it better than last year's or the other specials of 2015 and 2016. Still, it is not good though.

The past few years this has been the best LLS. Bar none.

If I was younger or had sprogs I may opt for the Toy Show, but this one is so bad and it shows Tubridy up for the lame wet blanket that he is; permanently terrified that something will go off script.

It's a car crash from behind the couch that you don't see properly as you're watching it all thorough through your fingers.

It's like walking in on your Dad in the bathroom when he's in the middle of wiping his arse... "Sweet ****ing Jayzus, I didn't actually see that, did I?"

(Excellent OP BTW, the Jim Carrey and the woman pic sum the night up).

    * In other news Sharon Ni Bheolainn is wearing a negligee under a power suit. That's how ya present da News.

"Carol - China in your hand, what a classic, thanks for coming.

China in your hand was eventually knocked off Number One by the Pet Shop Boys' Always on My Mind, which denied Fairytale of New York the Christmas number one

So what are your opinions on the scourge of alcoholism and poverty among Irish Emigrants to America, Carol?"

What year was the one with a load of shouty drunks in the audience being crass and vulgar and making a holy show of themselves? 2016 I think?

That probably sums it up it every year, mind you :D

I'm here. Don't know why. Or for how long. Probably a short night for me.

I saw some 1985 TOTP's over the last week- still trying to get my new recorder up and running. Enjoyed that.

Probably won't watch this tonight but Happy New Year to anyone I didn't say HNY to previously.

PS: Looks like the LAGAR is flowing in the LLS Audience Green room :D
