We have a electric shower and the hot water is not needed but when the heating comes on it’s heating both water and radiators so just wondering if anyone knows if I would save money by turning the bar ?

Depending on your cylinder and pipework insulation, you could save 10 or 20% by not heating water that you don’t need. Note that if you need hot water, it is most likely that gas would be cheaper than electricity for heating it.
