Basically a charge for the paperwork that used to go to the salesman. Used to be £50 back in the day or €63.49 now?

Depends on the garage I’d say. I know back in the day you’d get a cheque for each one you signed up, but it’s probably done by EFT to the garage these days and the salesman more than likely doesn’t see it.

The documentation fee doesn’t go to the garage or salesman with any of the finance companies we deal with.

So the finance company takes it?

It's just a way for the finance company to squeeze another few bob out of the punter....just like the fees you pay to ti********er when you buy tickets for gigs.

Got quoted exactly that at the start and end of the HP agreement, so €127 odd all up..
