    Hi All

Virgin have offered me a new Router but its the latest HUB 3 model

Anyone have any advice on this router?

    Is it any good ?
    Can It be bridged
Would I need to bridge it ? its it good enough on its own?

Currently have an EPC 3925, bridged to my Airport Extreme

Recently the 3295 is dropping the signal. the Extreme is OK, but it tells me the 3295 has no signal. I can't see any errors on the device and Virgin tell me that can't see any drops.

A reboot normally sorts it. I am thinking it could be the Ethernet port to the Extreme so have changed cables.

    Thanks

    DT

Nope, reject the Hub3.0. Its based on a flawed chip and thus Comcast/Arris are being sued over it in the states.

"Puma6" is all you need to google.

    PS:
Add a small fan to the 3925, its thermally problematic but that solves it in an instant.

I've had the hub 3 and never any bother with it. You can bridge it there's a guide on boards penned by the poster who advises not to use it, he seems to have changed his mind about the hub, confused? I know I am!!

There are good units and bad. I got a bad one which kept dropping WiFi or rebooting. I got fed up wasting time with VM trying to "fix" the issue. So I just used the HUB as a modem and connected a Netgear Nighthawk router to it. No problems since!

    thanks for the comments

So it seems a change of Ethernet cable for 3295 to my airport extreme seems to have done the job

I heard lots of people are complaining about the HUB 3 in the UK especially games because of the constant lag and ping spikes, it you have a Hub 2 stick with it.

So, it seems to be my WAN pot on the Airport Extreme is the problem

Have ordered Archer C9 and will try it

I am currently using the EPC3925 itself, and its not too bad, but WiFi speeds are down to 30MB but will do until new Archer arrives
