    Hi
I’m thinking of setting up a car valeting business mainly focusing on the standard car valeting servies along with express basic car washes. Nothin too complicated for the moment

I’m wondering can anyone help me with a few questions?
Who are the best suppliers for valeting supplies?
What are the best products to use ?
What is the essential equipment required and who are the best suppliers ?
Where is the best place to get public liability insurance ?
Would you recommend doing a few Days valeting courses ?
Is there any other tips anyone has ?

    Appreciate responses in advance

I hope it works out for you but tbh if you don't already have lots of experience working for a professional valet and already know the "best" products it will be quite an uphill climb for you.

Perhaps apply for a job at a local valet and learn as an apprentice?

There are a hell of a lot in that market with many that have popped up with €8 or €10 washes etc.

If going into detailing you would want to get good experience.

I believe autobrite do supplies and of course others.

If you want really proper products look up detailing shed.
Curran on here can help you out.

The fact that you're asking if you should do a valeting course sends off alarms for me.

If you have no experience (which seems likely) and as biko said, you don't know where is the best place to get supplies, I would strongly suggst that you sort all those things out before touching a car with your own company.

I'd echo what most have said. While I admire anyone wanting to brave going into business, most do so with experience gained for a) working with someone / a company, already within the industry, or b) are someone on the cutting edge and have a jump start on everyone else. And unfortunately, b) isnt the case and it sounds like you dont have much experience in the industry.

The advice of trying to get a few months under your belt with a company is good advice. When there, use your time not only to gain experience, but note the suppliers, products, equipment, etc that is used. Valeting work isnt easy; on your feet all day, and its all go...but that said if cars are what you enjoy, it never seems so much like work.

This is the first one for valeting that popped up in front of me on facebook.

The prices -V- standard of work will give you an idea of what you are up against in the market.
