    Hi

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I've googled a few things but just wanna see what anyone else does.

my fur baby is on a healthy eating plan and I'm just looking for some healthy treats to give her..

I've googled and its says carrot sticks and apple slices etc... etc...

are these the best things or has anyone any advice???

    thanks

    Is it to loose weight?
increase in exercise and cut out all supermarket treats etc

My dog gets NO other snacks except for: Sugar Snap Peas, Tender Stem Broccoli, carrots sticks, mangetout, cucumber, sliced peppers etc, i don't actually give him any fruit, mostly veg -he loves them

Dehydrated sweet potato is a hit with ours. They also like broccoli but only the tender stem one.
Mine do get some fruit but I would limit it as it contains more sugar than veg. As a real treat they might have some mushed up banana mixed with peanut butter(make sure there's no xylitol in it) out in their kongs.
Might be a fun little activity to find out which ones your dog likes/gravitates towards and work from there.

What do you mean by healthy eating plan? To lose weight? Health issues? That could impact on what you can or should feed.

For weight loss, cut the amount fed and increase exercise.

My lot love the treats from Raw Dry, you can find them on Facebook, a small Irish company, simply dehydrated meat and fish, so healthy as there is nothing added.

I have never ever had a dog who would even taste a carrot, apple, brocolli, or any of the other veggies other peoples dogs on here will treat as a treat :( So envious of you lucky owners..

Mine eats all of those. In fact he'll even munch a bit of lettuce or celery (i wish i liked those!). Unfortunately he really will just eat anything- flowers (including poisonous ones), dirt, grass, our crops, dried grain, slug pellets and rat poison...

thanks for all the suggestions guys.

no, shes not being put on a diet or anything like that, but I'm just trying to not feed her the supermarket snacks and stuff and I was just looking for ideas of healthy things, plus theres so many things that they can't eat so just wanted to make sure I wasn't giving her anything bad!!

thanks again for all suggestions, lots to try out now :-)

In that case buy a dehydrator and you'll save a fortune lol! I make loads of different things - apple, sweet potato, training treats, jerky etc etc I did pigs ears last weekend lol and they turned out great and not greasy or smelly. I do buy some stuff from zoo plus - mainly snouts and furry ears!

Boil some brocolli, carrotts etc in water with chicken bones.

My dog loves it (obviously I don't give her the chicken bones)
