Possible to hire an Ebay seller?

    Hi,

I’ve never used Ebay to sell stuff before, so I don’t have an account.

I have some items to sell, that are a lot higher than the allowed listing limits for new accounts.

Does anyone know if it’s legal or possible to hire someone to sell my items using their Ebay account?

I was thinking along the lines of meeting the seller in person. Agreeing on a process for the sale.

The seller creates the ad and lists it.
We agree on a % fee, say 1-2%.

Once the items are sold, I dispatch them from my location to the buyer. Registered of course.

But I’m skeptical on the payment side.
Can the buyer legally add my paypal account to his Ebay account, and have funds transferred to me?

The items are worth in excess of €100,000, so there is a trust issue.

When I spoke to Ebay, they suggested I setup an account, and begin selling within the €3,000 monthly limit. After 90 days and if I meet the required feedback, I can increase my limits. But they wouldn’t clarify if it would be close to €100,000.

Any suggestions on what I could potentially do?
I’m eager to get my items listed and begin selling, but waiting for that period of time is not suitable.

If there are worth 100k you won't be selling them via eBay

Because of money laundering your bank and/or Paypal will be looking for the source of the money including some documentation, they might even need to contact revenue.

If they are high value, then going to an auction house may be a better bet, even though you will have to pay a hefty (at least 20% plus fees ) , depending on what the item is - if its art , watches, vehicles, jewellery etc , it may do well at auction, if its historic in particular.
I sell on ebay for many years, there is a system where a seller can sell on your behlaf - but they would want and expect more than the 1-2% you mention - my guess is that anyone would .
Again, and depending what it is , a particular auctioneer or specialist shop may be able to make you an offer - but again, remember that they will be buying to sell.
No way will ebay raise your selling level to 100k in a short period of time.
