Receipts for Med1 form

    Hi,

    Is it possible to get copies of receipts or a end of year total from gp and chemists regarding the total amount spent for each of the last 4 years? I know I have some but none for some years. Has anyone requested these previously and is it possible? Do they issue end of year receipts or would they need to be all individual receipts? There would be a significant number as we've had a lot of medical expenses in the past, lessen learnt from now on they will be kept, thanks in advance

    You'll have to ask your chemist & GP. some of them are v helpful and will run a print off quite easily, others not so. They might charge you for the service, especially if they have to manually trawl through files to get dates. They are all different, you'll never know until you ask

    Pharmacies generally don't charge. Well I never have and no pharmacy I've ever worked in has charged either.

    In fact I regularly promote it to people because so many are blissfully unaware that they claim 20% back. Makes it less painful for people as well when they're handing over their money to find out they can claim some of it and their GP visit back.
    With most pharmacy softwares its a 30 second job. Select years to refund, press print.
