In your opinion what day and time would it be?

Early in the day and definitely not a Friday afternoon/evening. Have had at least two shambolic interviews on a Friday afternoon. One, the interviewers were asleep in and the other I was grilled for over an hour. And I wasn't successful in either.

Some studies show being last is good due to the recency effect, or if you can't be last, be first (the primacy effect). Personally I would prefer first thing - get it out of the way and stop nerves building up while waiting etc. Also no overruns or delays.

How early do you guys thing is the best time i.e 9am. This maybe a good thing as you said getting it out of the way but the Interviewer could have had a hectic morning getting their and not be in the best of form.

In my experience interviews are very rarely scheduled for 9am for this very reason.

Why do you ask, OP? Are you scheduling interviews or hoping to be called for one? Because if it's the latter they're not going to allow you to pick your time, they'll offer you a choice of available slots.

Not necessarily 9 on the dot. Been at other interviews scheduled for that time and with traffic and getting all interviewers in on time that can lead to the candidate being there before them( unprofessional but it happens), interviewers should meet in advance to discuss order of interviews and go over questions to ask each candidate based on the info provided in their application. 9.30 onwards is good.

I reckon that 'first thing' is not a great time.

There is still an element of fatigue from the previous night. Mistakes can creep in. Maybe the candidate had to battle through traffic or a crowded train.

My own preference would be 11am to 3pm.

Concentration will probably wane in late afternoon.

Whenever you're at your best. E.g. End of the day when I'm hungry and tired is not good for me, I've learned :)

Monday or Tuesday, maybe at 9:30 or 10 in the morning

If IT support, 10am or after. This allows the manager to look at their queue, and do important things before meeting you. Otherwise they'll have to step out midway though the interview to do something.

If retail, 9am, so they're not stressed out yet.
