Car rolled over my beginner pitching wedge yesterday so need a new one before game tomorrow

New to golf and a high handicapper!

    I'm don't get much distance with my shots.....typically 110 yards with a 7 iron.

Any recommendations for a decent PW? Typically use mine for shots 80 yards and under.

    Thanks

I'd suggest buying second hand. Lots of low handicap golfers sell wedges after less than two years as they begin to lose the sharpness of the grooves. They will still be excellent clubs and should go for around 60 Euro or so.

Look out for anything made by titleist, Taylor made or Callaway.

I got my last wedges from the pro shop at the celbridge driving range.

Is it something I could/should get when upgrading my irons in the summer?

I could use my 9 iron and sand wedge till then if it makes more sense to get the package

Today's pitching wedges are about 45 degrees loft. Most will be the same as the rest of your set. The specialist wedges normally start from 50 degrees or so up. Gap wedge, Sand Wedge, Lob Wedge etc. Your set sand wedge is probably about 54 to 56 degrees.

If i was you id try and get one to match the set you have, check ebay and golfbidder

If you are in dublin, plus4golf in phibsboro would be a good place to pick up a new wedge for any budget.
