What can I do to stop a knocking noise in the rad, I’ve to switch off the rad to get a bit of peace, I’ve tried bleeding the rads but it still knocks, only one rad knocked out of 8,
    Any suggestions,

When will people realise that Bleeding Rads is only to release air gathered at the top of the radiator and is not the "go to default solution" to heating issues.

    @ O.p.
Other than the noise, does the radiator heat up the same as the rest of the other radiators?
Have you tried turning off all the other radiators except the problem one to force out any trapped air in the pipework?
Does the rad have a Thermostatic Rad Valve?

Sorry for the thread hijak but we have one rad that’s rather noisey, it’s the nearest to the pump and heats perfectly but makes all sorts of banging and clicking, it has a trv. Any tips to try solve it please?

The rad heats up fine, I’ll try turning off the rest of the rads see if that works, how long do I leave them off for,?
    Thanks

unscrew the trv head and check will the pin behind it move freely sometimes they can stick

If its a case of trapped air in the pipework, it should push out reasonably quickly. It depends on the type of heating system that you have, how far this rad is from the boiler etc, but if that is the problem, it shouldn't take more than about 20 mins or so, basically until the noise dissipates.
Try it first and see what happens.
Before you do it, open both rad valves fully, but note how many turns it takes to close the lockshield valve, the one you don't usually touch, so to put it back where it was.
Lets us know how you get on.
