Hi I am just wondering how commonplace it is for firms to contribute to some of your ppc1 fees? Is it only the big ones that do? Any estimates on what percentage make some kind of a contribution? I have four fe1s completed. I'm currently working full-time in an unrelated sector. I am hoping to start ppc1in September 2019.

Depends on the firm. It used to be only the big ones but reality was that many of the medium sized firms were having trouble actually getting trainees in, give the sheer number the big ones tend to take. So many have started offering to pay fees for PPC1, but the fact is the only way to find out for sure is to ask them. In addition a lot of the medium firms have had to up their pay as well or so i am told for the same reasons still no where near a match to the big ones but plenty enough for a trainee which is what you will eb at the end of the day. Actually I was told by one that per hour you might be earning the same as people in the big firms you just work a lot less hours, but obviously that will vary with the size of the firm your in. Plenty of opportunities out there you just need to dig a little.
