    HI
I'm looking for a recommendation for a good gastroenteroloist or immunologist. I'm at my wits end.

7 years ago I got very ill with liver inflammation and was admitted to hospital. When no one could figure out the cause I was discharged and forgotten about. I had unbearable itch all over my body and severe joint pains. The itch took months to stop. However the pains didn't and I developed debilitating fatigue also.

I then when to an allergists in the Galway Clinic who was the nicest doctor I've meet in this whole saga. He said I didn't have any allergies and he thought I might have lupus. So he advised me to go to see a rheumatologist. I did this and was completely dismissed and told I had fibromyalgia. They didn't even do the tender point test before the diagnosis or prescribe me any meds. They discharged me back to my GP and she put me on meds for it.

I then developed a horrible skin rash and went to a dermatologist. Got a biopsy and it confirmed a diagnosis of PLE which is an auto immune condition where my skin reacts to sunlight. In rare cases it can be a sign of Lupus but no one was connecting the dots.

I stuggled with all of this for years. It affected my degree and several jobs. Two years ago, at the age of 29, I got very ill suddenly aboard and was hospitalised. I had developed Type 1 diabetes! Another autoimmune disease that is usually genetic and found in young children. I was 29 and no one in my family has this condition so it was unusual.

Last November the liver inflammation came back with a bang. I was hopitalised. The rash also came back. I got every blood test in the world done, a liver biopsy and two skin biopsies. These test took forever to be looked at and just last Monday I went up for the results....and nothing. They can't figure out what is wrong and won't treat me. They first said it all must be connected and that I was showing signs of primary biliary cirrhosis or lupus. They said the case was extremely unusual and that there wasn't "enough there " for a diagnosis. When I listed out all of the horrible symptoms I'd been having they went back to blaming everything on fibromyalgia! !! They said the rash was my sun light rash, how I got that in the dead of winter in Ireland is beyond me and the doctor even said that too.

So they have once again left me to it.I've been off work for over two months now feeling miserable and thr doctor on Monday told me I've no medical reason to be off despite me listing off all of the horrible symptoms I have.

I can explain how distressing this has been. I've cried for the last two days and I'm so angry. I need a second opinion on the latest results and I'm asking if anyone reads this and can relate or knows of a good immunologist or gastrentrologist can you please let me know? I would appreciate it so much. I can't take much more of this situation, it's ruined my life and no one is connecting the dots. Thank you.
