    Hi

Just wondering...if someone sold their private house to the local county council for council housing, does this show up on the Property Price Reg?

    thanks

Yes- all sales. If there is a delay in it appearing- its probably to do with the solicitor taking his/her merry time in lodging the papers with the registry and paying the stamp duty. Even local authorities have to pay stamp duty.

Wrong order. It's Stamp Duty first, then into the Land Registry.

The Duty must be paid within 44 days of the deed being executed. You're looking at 3-5 weeks after the Duty is paid for it to appear on the PPR.
