Hi

I'm having alot of issues with my mutant hd1500 where it will constantly lose signal if it is wet or windy but the sky box running off the same dish isn't impacted. I have increased the voltage on the 2 mutant tuners and still see drop outs but they are less frequent now.

I suspect that with the recent storms my dish may have been moved very slightly out of line (with mutant tuners being more sensitive to it than the sky hd box is) so want to get a signal finder to check that and realign. Obviously this will be something that is rarely used so i'm not looking to spend much on it. Any recommendations?

Those basic ones are ok for a one off use like you need. You might even get something similar in your local Woodies or Argos. Mark the dish position on the brackets first in case of accidents and move it very slowly. It will probably only need to move a few mm. Too much and you could end up chasing the wrong satellite.

I have one like that for years, Used it many time myself, family and friends, simple to use.
