AFAIK these old rim locks mostly used one of about 12 keys.

If there are any locksmiths here, could you tell me can I get a replacement key through a home visit rather than having to take the lock off the door and take it to a shop?

Would be far cheaper to remove the lock and bring it to the hardware shop.

Callouts nowadays are not cheap. Taking that lock off is a 2 minute job.

Personally, I'd be taking that off anyway. There's a lovely feature underneath all that paint just waiting to be revealed!

Yeah I was thinking that afterwards. I might just take it off.
    Thanks all.

Tip: cut neatly with a sharp Stanley blade around the perimeter of where the lock meets the actual door. This will help avoid pulling surrounding paint off the actual door during removal.
