HKC alarm with wireless sensors. The alarm has been going off randomly at night (when we have it on part-set), when I put the code in to turn it off it says "Zone 14 Tamper"; and then says that the RF sensor batteries need replacing.

Zone 14 is an IR sensor on our landing which is not active when we have the alarm part-armed. So is it just the low battery issue causing the false alarms or is the sensor itself faulty? I do have the engineers code, so was planning on replacing the batteries in the sensors myself (it was installed about 5 years ago).

The tampers will set the alarm off if it's set or not.

Sometimes the tampers can trigger if the sensor got a bang or something.

I'd change the battery, and make sure the case is fitted correctly afterwards.
