Hi Guys, Hope you are all well. Just wondering whats the best price on the amp above ? Also would be interested if what recommendations you would have regarding other options. If you have open box or demo i would be more that happy to consider anything available available. Many thanks, Jim.

    Hi Stonyjim.

    Thanks for the post.

Unfortunately the Yamaha AS501 is already at our rock bottom price.

    Currently priced at £249.00.

I have an open box Onkyo A9010. Retails at £175. O could offer the O/B one for £160. Although the AS501 would be a better amp.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Kenny, I don't think the Onkyo is a runner. I am looking for something that would be a marked improvement for music listening over my budget pioneer AV receiver without upgrading to a really expensive home Cinema amp.  I thought the Yamaha would fit the bill and was also considering networked receivers and was just wondering also would I be sacrificing playback quality on other sources by opting for say Yahama RN602 over the AS501 ? Thanks.

    Hey StonyJim.

The AS501 is a very good amp for the money and does sound great.

You would not be sacrificing sound quality on the RN602 over the AS501.
I nearly purchased a RN602 myself several months ago to pair up with my Monitor Audio RS1's.

However we are currently completely sold out of the RN602 as it has been popular. i'm awaiting on an ETA for more stock on them.
