Adult Caution

Can someone please tell me the procedure involved in the giving of an adult caution? I was told by a Garda on being offered such that the record of the adult caution is kept only by the arresting station? (Or, at least, that is what I understood.) Is it instead the case that the record of the caution is recorded (perhaps in the Pulse system) and available to be viewed by a Garda anywhere? Thanks

The copy of the caution is kept in the station but any garda could check the computer system and see if if you've received a caution or not
