    Hey all :)

Currently in a bit of a predicament! I've placed a deposit down on a brand new Renault Kadjar Signature Nav edition, looks gorgeous, drives gorgeous and Renault are doing a great deal adding an extra 1k on top of my tradein atm.

However the payments are a little high, I can lower them by increasing my deposit but not fully sure if its worth it and I was just wondering if anybody here got the Dynamique S Nav model of the Kadjar or was in the same predicament I am and are Happy with their choice? Looking online it doesn't seem like you lose a lot of features, mainly the Bose system (meh) and the sunroof (main thing really!)

    Thanks!

Just from readzing a review the sunroof cuts into back seat height so it’s not recommended. If you’re also not pushed about the audio definitely drop down a model

Factory fitted sun roofs reduce the head space in a car and with air con or climate control you rarely use it, or at least I rarely used the sunroof in my last car. Sun roofs where useful before air con became nearly standard, now they are not needed.

While you can debate the merits of using a sunroof in this country, the light they leave in can make a huge difference to the cabin especially when most cabins are dark and deary coloured these days.

The panoramic roof in a Kadjar isn't like a panoramic roof in any other car I've ever been in. It's really something, I'd be hesitant to remove it from the spec.

Are panoramic roofs just the metal replaced with glass vs a sun roof which actually opens.

They make a difference in light but since I spend all the time looking out the window when driving it made no difference. The compromise on head room is a bigger issue and I'm not even that tall.

Thanks for all the responses guys!

We were just about to settle on the kadjar when Skoda got back to us with a great deal on a new octavia. (We have a 151 octavia now, this is slightly more each months but with the savings over the kadjar we can upgrade our second car too in the future!)

Some do open, some don't. The Kadjars doesn't open.

It not just about it opening though, it really changes how the cabin feels with light and space.

My wife has the Dynamic S Nav and loves it. Reason she didn't go for the Signature Nav was because of the Panoramic sunroof, she just doesn't like it and it would bug her to see bird poop on it. All things being considered, her one is lovely.

I wouldn't be a fan of the S Nav alloys. I'd be going with a 1.6 Signature but it is pricey and goes through tyres pretty quickly. I think you'd be a lot happier in an Octavia then a Kadjar. After a year or 2 the rattles out of a Kadjar interior can be very annoying

I would pay extra for no sunroof if it was a choice. Both our cars have black headlining, too.

Is there any other car more boreing looking then an octavia

Agree with the alloys size, bananas to have huge ones when 17ins would do just as well with same design. Not sure what you mean by 'rattles' - absolutely no issues with my wife's one, no rattling. Maybe your experience could be isolated?

Have driven a good few with parts of interior trim rattling but not everyone of them is going to do it

The three years flew around so didn't have enough time to look at much else! The one we had for the last 3 years still works fine but once this 3 years is up will be looking for a chance again and will.hopefully be more organized haha. Till then they are a solid enough car.

Our kadjar test drive was very nice though. Beautiful car I think.

I agree the 19ins alloys on the Kadjar are big but they are very nice too and look great on the car. 17s or 18s are better for a nicer ride do and would still look good on it. That spec level also seems very popular. So there is people out there that do not seem to mind the bad ride from the bigger wheels and skinny tyres.

    Peace and long life.

The Kadjar on 19" rims goes through a set of tyres quickly too if that's a concern.
