    Hey guys,

My wife and I(early 40s) are heading to Nerja for a couple of weeks in June. We're looking for apartment recommendations please. We won't have a car so would like something centrally located but not in a noisey area. Maybe somewhere within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. We've never been there before so are not familiar with the layout of the area.

Thanks in advance, any help is REALLY appreciated ☺️

Have any boards users visited Nerja?

Treat yourself to a gorgeous dinner in Oliva. It is expensive but well worth the extra few bob. To make up for that go to Little Italy (the original not the second shop). This is one of the cheapest places but again we've never been disappointed.

Thanks Missus D, we'll check them out :)

We stayed at the Torresol apartments facing onto Playa Torrecilla about three years ago. We booked the apartment through Tripadvisor rentals, and while the apartment itself was basic enough, the location was fantastic, just a few metres from the beach. We could hear the waves at night! It also had a sheltered pool which was really quiet if you wanted to give the crowds on the beach a miss. I know there were some nicer apartments in the same building. It's probably a 15 minute walk from the Balcon de Europa in central Nerja.

Two great restaurants I can remember are Scarletta's and Julies & Valeri's (which is mostly vegetarian but even if you aren't, give it a try - great atmosphere).

It’s been a good few years since we stayed in Nerja. We got a villa just up the hill behind Burriana Beach. Apart from the few shops and restaurants we didn’t find that end of town very noisy at all. It was a bit of a trek to get up to the main part of Nerja. It’s a great town and we found it very easy on the pocket back then, I’d guess that’s changed a bit since due to the popularity of the place.

It seems like the area has grown in popularity hugely! We've been looking at apartments but most are already booked out! We really liked the look of the Acapulco Playa apartments but they seem to be booked out too :( We'll keep on looking and appreciate all of the recommendations posted so far :):):)

Don't know what your budget is, but we spend a couple of nights in the Parador hotel there as part of a week long trip staying in Paradors along the coast last July. The Paradors were built back in the sixties before the mass tourism of today, by the Spanish government to encourage tourism. The prices were very reasonable considering the location. Although, they had plans to renovate which will push prices up. Either way, I would recommend that you drop in for lunch some day.
Also, make sure to visit the caves!
