Hi, I'm looking for a V8 engine out of a bmw which is pre 1990 if possible. It's for a table ornament that I want to make.
Must be a bmw, one seized or stripped wound do just fine. Ancilleries would be nice to have also, such as starter and altenator. Again, they don't have to be operational. If I leave all the bits in it I won't be able to lift it at all, so there will be a lot of striping out of the internals. Hence a cracked block etc would be ok to a degree.
    Thanks.

    I think you mean pre-2000.

BMW did not make a V8 engine from the mid 1960's until around 1992-3. Any of the older V8's that fit into the 501 dnd similar are going to be silly money.

They made 6 cylinder engines all along and a V12 from 1986/7 onwards.
