Flight price increases (FR and IB)

I have been checking flight prices on a few routes recently, namely Ryanair flights from Dublin and Gatwick, and also Iberia flights from Madrid this March/April.

Since yesterday all the flight prices have increased. The Ryanair flights increased by over 30% and the Iberia flights by over 80%. The increases weren't just for the dates I were looking at, it seemed to be all dates for at least 1-2 months. In the case of Iberia, the fares had gone up by 80% for all dates for the rest of the year!

This seems very strange to me. I have never seen anything like this before. Sometimes prices might increase on a few dates, but not for all dates and certainly not all overnight.

Could this be something to do with my repeated searches on these routes? I have seen conflicting reports on whether or not cookies could play a part. I tried using a different browser and a VPN but it didn't make any difference. Should I wait a few weeks to see if the prices come down again?

Oil has increased quiet alot and the price of almost everything seems to be increasing, there is a definite inflationary trend since last September,

Try to use Airhint (for FR) and Skyscanner to remove the cookies from the equation.
Last week of March and first week of April may be expensive due to Easter.

Ive noticed this too, I was looking at shannon-Tenerife. The 8 weeks of summer are the same price, very unusual.
