    Hi,

long story short, I am wondering if someone has done or seen a farm shed being used as a residential building. Obviously insulated etc etc.. but just wondering if in theory this has been done in Ireland.

There are similar type of building being build in the US called Quonsets - see more here: http://www.steelmasterusa.com/houses/

    - does anyone have any experience with such?
    - if so, how hard / easy what or would be to get a planning persmission?
    - pros / cons of such building?
    - who in Ireland would be able to supply and build such a structure?
    - which architect company would / has done something like this?

It seem to be that if planned right, it could provide a nice house as the Quonset is a self-supporting structure so less walls etc...
Could also nicely fit in a countryside with farms and farm sheds...

Any opinion is more than welcome

    Cheers
