Have Aer Lingus changed their transatlantic one way pricing?

Looking at booking a one way flight from Dublin to Boston today for February 19th. It's priced at 460 euro! If I look at booking a round trip, the price is 200 euro.

Have they inherited the bull**** one way pricing from BA? Pretty sure Aer Lingus has true one way pricing before.

I always thought the one way pricing was on short haul. And transatlantic was the traditional fare types

I just booked a flight to Providence RI which is very close to Boston with Norwegian Airlines, the price is much cheaper than Aer Lingus. 365 vs 490 round trip

In that case just book a return ticket.

No, they were definitely on transatlantic too at one point. I used them a few times.

I develop Superior Solitaire when I'm not procrastinating on boards.ie.

Ahh ok, fair enough they obviously just have quotas for fare types sold on various journey types designed to maximise revenue.

I've noticed on the recent Aer Lingus adverts quoting fares, they mention the one way fares on the TATL route but add "when booked as part of a return trip"

They have always done this, they may of got a rap by advertising authorities which may be why they are highlighting it more.

I can't recall it but single fares have been almost as much as a return for a few years now.
