Don't know how this will...um..."play" out, but some of the set visuals look very impressive.

Good WWI films are even more thin on the ground that good WWII films. Off hand, the most memorable for me was the TV remake of 'All Quiet on the Western Front' (starring John By Walton), 'Aces High' and 'Regreneration', which was about Craiglockhart and not really about the war, as it were.
