Too short fringe

What to do. I had my hair cut at a VERY :( expensive salon, have gone previously 4 times and always happy.

I asked for long fringe, and it seemed ok till I got home! I have wavy/curly hair and it has bounced up to WAY above my eyebrows and looks ridiculous.Even if I straighten it with straighteners, it is still too short.

Don't know what to do with it, and probably not worth complaining, they can't stick hair back on:(

    Really pi**ed off

In a practical sense, pinning it back is probably your best option until it grows a bit.

Have you had a full fringe before? I've always had one but I would have thought it's a very difficult thing to get right with curly hair, impossible on hair that's really curly rather than wavy?

In terms of the salon, if you paid a premium for a restyle I'd ask for the restyling premium to be refunded. All they can do is say no... I suppose it's best to weigh up whether you'll rest easier having complained versus moving to a new one or just putting it behind you. Personally I vote with my Feet if I get a bad haircut

I paid €95. The previous four times I had a cut I was very happy. I have now seen that in addition to fringe being too short, one side of my hair is much longer than the other.
I actually want to cry. I have cried.
I've made an appointment for Tuesday, and put forward my complaint, they can try to fix.. I will never go back.

That's a lot of money. I hope they fix it for you

Honestly I don't see how they're going to fix it, bar hacking away at it further and making it shorter. Would you not just pin it back? I've had some awful fringes myself but the good thing about them is they grow out pretty quickly. Even by this time next week you'll be surprised at how much it's grown. Of course it's your choice but if it was up to me I'd just grin and bear this one and let it grow out.

I agree about the fringe but the rest of it needs fixing (one side of hair longer than the other)

Sounds like you had a junior member of staff cut your hair if one side is shorter than the other and for €95, I’d be expecting the Artistic Director at the very least!
Definitely complain and see if they can sort it out plus maybe ask about having some extensions adding to your fringe?

Definitely get them to fix the hair length and get both sides even. However I wouldn't let them do anything further with the fringe. A fringe is fairly easy to grow out, even more so as your hair is wavy.
Yonks ago I got a fringe done in a pricey salon, it was lovely when they first did it but when I went back to get it trimmed, I felt they were rude, annoyed that it was just a fringe trim and nothing more and I wasn't happy with how it sat then. I realised that a fringe was going to be more hassle than it was worth and just grew it out, it didn't take long to do as my hair was layered.

Well,it was the top stylist  at a VERY well known salon.

Can't pin it back, it is too bloody short and I wear glasses so it would look even more ridiculous than it does now. I don't want my forehead out, that's why I have a fringe ;)

I called up and said I wasn't happy, going back tomorrow to see what they can do. Fringe is not possible to fix. It will be my last visit, the nightmare of finding a new hairdresser begins......:(

See what they say tomorrow, they may offer a refund or throw in a free treatment or something. If you have been happy with the hairdresser until now see how they react tomorrow before you start your search for a new one lol

It's so ridiculous, I'm really annoyed and upset, yet also dreading the embarrassment tomorrow! I have complained about many things, but never my hair!

Refund would be great but probably won't happen.

I’d be surprised if they don’t offer a refund as a goodwill gesture. You’re a walking advert for their reputation and as a fellow hairdresser, I’d be mortified if one of my clients sported an unintentional lopsided cut.

No refund offered. Stylist very apologetic, said she was glad I came back, fixed the uneven length.
Obviously agreed that fringe was too short, but nothing to do except grow it out. I won't go back.
