    Hi All,

I'm in the middle of building a new house and its time to select the heat source. Everyone is telling air to water heat pump is the way forward. Does anyone have any experience off them and can you advise if they are a good option??

    Thanks

Is this a DIY/pub beer mat/internet based/ direct labour self build?

    Have you planning?
How are you meeting the RE part of the planning requirements.
    What is the A/T target?
    What is the BER target?
What is the projected energy demand?
What heat emitters have you in mind?

    ps: who is everyone?

you REALLY shouldnt be in the middle of a build and only be deciding on your heating system now. have you made allowances for under floor heating or rads?

Have you have a preliminary DEAP assessment carried out?

Have had dealings with Sola Energy Solutions, they supply the Mitsubishi Brand which is deemed as one of the best in the country at the moment. I've seen running costs as low as €500/yr. Mitsubishi have been known to be good for keeping their word when it comes to replacing faulty parts also.
