    Hi

I am considering replacing my 10 year old Onkyo with a new receiver. I was originally looking at the Sony STRDN1080 but when I had a look at the other options you have the Pioneer VSX932 seems very comparable and a lot cheaper. Could you comment on these two and if there is much difference between the two

    Thanks

    Dave

    Hi Dave.

While the 932 is a good receiver the 1080 out performs it in pretty much every way.
The 1080 was product of the year in What HiFi and has been flying out the door. I'm tempted to get one myself.

If you are looking something a little cheaper but still well spec'd and also selling very very well. There is the Denon AVRX2400 priced at £369.00
Also 5 star review in what Hifi.

Any of the 3 mentioned receivers would be a fantastic upgrade to your Onkyo.

    Let me know your thoughts.
