Weatherboard options (tegral alternates)

    Hi Folks,
I looking for a lightweight cladding. It is to protect an above window wood and plastered wall (terminology?). Basically the existing board has cracked and has moss starting to grow. Small enough problem right now but looking to sort it this year.

A builders friend called it cracked metal if that makes sense. He mentioned tegral cladding but that looks heavy to me to be mounting onto existing board.

What light weight options would there be?

Cork area if it makes any difference. Will have it done professionally and not a huge area.

First photo is the area I'm looking to clad that has the cracks

Second photo is of some existing cladding at back of house. Anyone identify it?

    Any recommendations?

Could cement board be mounted without removing existing?

Was thinking of something simular to the tegral cladding but lite weight. Some form of shiplap timber effect in a dark colour
