2008 BMW e60 520D problem?

    Hi I have a 08 BMW 520d e60
A couple of weeks ago it started to lose power with some white smoke then it cut out

I thought the turbo had packed it in so I took it out and brought it to a specialist
He said it was okay it could be the dpf so the end all I had the dpf removed and egr valve cleaned which seemed to be the problem
It started up afterwards running grand

2 days ago the fan belt started making noise which will have to be changed but also I now have a loss of power as if the turbo is kicking in it will rev out no problem and drive but the usual power when you put the foot down has disappeared and has become somewhat sluggish

I'm just wondering would anyone have any idea what my problem could be thanks in advance

Sis you have the car remapped when you removed the DPF?

Yes it was remapped the car will drive perfect once I don't accelerate fast as in depress the accelerator to the floor it has no power but if I gradually depress it slowly it will pick up as normal could this be a problem with the body throttle?

There's no fan belt on that car. There are auxiliary belts for the alternator/water pump/AC compressor etc. Generally when you start hearing noises from those belts it's a bearing somewhere that has failed. It could be the water pump/tensioner etc.

Is it a manual or automatic transmission? Given what you've said about accelerating I'm expecting you to say it's a manual and the clutch is going...

I had similar with an F11 - went through everything and then by trial and error found the issue.

I can't remember what the issue was, but it was fixed by gp motorworks in Rathangan http://gpmotorworks.net/

Yes it's manual and no the clutch definitely isn't going 100% it just has no power off the mark when I accelerate but will gradually pick up speed quick enough but not the way it should be if you get me theirs a lag in it
