I'm looking at a 2011 car in Northern Ireland that's on NI plates but originally came from England, the dealer has given me the 2 previous UK reg numbers saying that they were both personalized plates so I cannot tie in a MOT history to either of them,

There are no stamps in the book other than a letter from the main UK dealer showing a 12,000 mile service in April 2012 but thats where the UK history ends... next is the NI history, the VAG emissions recall in July 16 at 53000, a full services at 54,000 miles in Sept 16 and timing belt at 65,000 in Sept 17

Nothing between 12000 and 53000 either in service or MOT history!!

Its in a Ford dealership up North so I would expect it to be legit but you never know!

any opinions welcome.. anything else I can do to check history on personalized plates?

    thanks..

Run a Motorcheck.ie report, it will pull in as much info as is available and then send them an email and they can manually get NI mot data. Mot’s in mainland uk are due at 3 years but NI mot due at 4 years

I managed to get a bit of early service history off a local main dealer and going by what I have on paper the car only did 1200 miles between 2014 and 2016 before it was MOT'd!!

the dealer up north said it was just a period of inactivity... :pac:

I’d move on. The place is littered with cars for sale.
