Changing Channel on 5Ghz Eir F2000

    Hi,

I'm trying to change the channel of the 5Ghz frequency on my F2000 eir modem.

Reason being is that I have an Amazon Fire Stick that will only recognise the 2.4Ghz frequency on the network list. I believe by changing the 5Ghz channel to 36, others have seen positive results.

When I log into the modem, I can't see any setting for changing the channel?

    Anybody have an idea?

    Thanks

I'd recommend downloading inSSIDer for a week's trial and check your contention. I discovered I was better off turning off my 5Ghz signal and changing the channel for 2.4 - which doubled the 2.4 throughput

Login. Go to Home Network > Wireless Settings > Advanced Settings

You should be able to change the channel there.

Worked a treat... changed to channel 36 and the fire stick recognised it straight away and now perfect streaming.

    Thanks
