Wondering if any of yee would have any recommendations for a location for family trip to Spain. Would be looking for a chilled area to rent a villa for a week, but with a few activities to keep kids enetertained. My mother would be along aswell and she would be in her 60's, so not looking for anywhere too hectic. Close to a beach would be preferred and with few decent options for restaurants/bars. Not looking for any resort type places. Thanks.

Maybe Nerja? It’s a resort but not in the normal sense of a Spanish holiday resort. You’d need to rent a car if you’re going for a villa there but if you were open to driving it’s a beautiful town. There’s a beach at Burriana with water sports etc. Nerja itself is gorgeous, very old style Spain but lots of restaurants and cafes to visit (no big chains like McDonald’s etc, all just local restaurants).
Fly to Malaga so plenty of options and it’s about 45 mins drive the opposite direction to Marbella etc.
