I have deposit paid on a house and have noticed the builder is raising ground level over 100mm above the Damp course, I have looked at other completed houses in the development and there is clearly rising damp on exterior walls to 500mm level, I think its time to bring in my own engineer, I cant believe such a basic error hasnt been picked up by the builders engineer am I missing somthing ?

The Building Regulations requires the DPC to be minimum of 150 mm above the external Ground Level.
You should engage a Chartered Building Surveyor or Civil Engineer
