Cause & solution please

    This has never happened before, en suite, toilet, whb & shower...if you flush the toilet, gurgling noise & waste water comes up through the shower waste into the shower tray
    Any help appreciated

    I'd say blockage somewhere.

    Block after 2 pipes meet. Prob outside.
    Have a look at the inspection chamber outside. If it's blocked there then report back here.

    Thanks, can't check now but ran hot & cold taps in sink together, very slow to drain & had same affect with gurgling & waste water coming up through the shower waste

    Can't see or feel any of the usual suspects like hair in the shower waste, seems clear

    Having shiit coming back up through shower trap is unhygienic. Pour some dettol into the trap.

    Look for manhole cover around the outside of the house. Could be a small plastic square or big heavy metal cover so maybe get a neighbour to help you lift it.. Start there first
