Hi. I'm trying to calculate the cost of say having a 7 watt light bulb on for 12 hours a day every day for a year. I've searched the web and can't find an Electric Ireland calculator. Is there one? Thanks.

    7w x 12 x 365 = 30,660
    30.66kw x 15 cent ish
€4.60+vat per annum very rough calc

Thanks for that. Hopefully a large company like EI will make it easier for customers by providing an online calculator.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

There is currently no appliance calculator app available with Electric Ireland, however there is an online web based version available here.

Alternatively, information regarding how to calculate a unit of electricity can be found online here.

We hope this helps. Should you have any other queries, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Thanks,
    Brige
