    Hey folks,

Looking at buying a 152 scenic, with baby number 3 on the way it looks the most practical. I went and viewed one and its actually suprisingly nice to look at too :) fairly slick inside too with the bose sounds etc.

Can anyone who currently has one give me any advise and would they recommend it?

    Thanks

You could look into C-Max, C4 (Grand) Picasso, 5008 as well.

With Renaults with 1.5 dCi, they have recommended oil interval at 30kkm. And while they do last through the warranty, I would recommend to change it at half of that.

So oil change every 15 thousand kms if i go with it cheers. Have folk found it decent drive etc?

Out of the MPV crowd, it is the 5008, C-Max and S-Max that has the most involving driving dynamics. Scenic is just fine, nothing really to keep your blood circulating...

You forgot the VW Touran. Ok about as exciting as watching paint dry but it does drive good and handle well.

    Peace and long life.

Test drove a 171 demo model and while it hooked me to the reality that an MPV was now a no brainer due to practicality, I found the ride rough, the forward viewing compromised by the rear view mirror cluster, and the 2nd row seats are bench in the new model, rather than 3 truly individually adjustable seats (now 2 + 1). Seriously weighed up one with panoramic sunroof, all the trimmings except park assist and the smaller engine.

Went for a three year old C4 grand Picasso UK import, great visibility, panoramic sunroof. Top trim with park assist and 360 vision, 18" wheels and 2 litre engine yet smoother drive than the scenic.

Half the total price of the ex demo scenic too. Oh, and one of the best features I find for motorway driving, adaptive cruise control on my car, don't think it was on the scenic.
