I have a automatic 2002 Vauxhall Corsa. It has a current NCT. That's where the good bit ends.

The head gasket is going, there's an immobilizer problem (intermittent starting, EML on) and the water pump is on the way out. Should I stick it up on Adverts for a few hundred or just drive it to the scrappers and get my €100-odd? If I do stick it on Adverts, any opinions on how much I should ask for? I'll be detailing the problems in the ad.

Throw it up on adverts for a couple of hundred and if no one buys it then scrap it

I'd say you'd do well to get 200. On the plus side it's small car, and automatic. But the fixes required are tricky and involved, plus 15-16 years old

I'd be surprised if you get more than scrap value for it to be honest as I cannot see there being much demand for a 16 year old automatic Corsa with a cooking head gasket but as said stick it up on an advert as you've nothing to lose really by finding out.
