None other than former White House press secretary Sean Spicer will be on.

Tubridy v a high profile Trump staffer (albeit a former one)

    This should be fun.

Of course Sean has Irish roots and was educated at an exclusive Catholic boarding school so that will keep them busy talking for most of the interview.

    Also on tonight’s one-thread-only LLS... :D

Hollywood star Liam Neeson joins former White House press secretary Sean Spicer on the line-up for this week’s Late Late Show.

The Ballymena-born Oscar-nominated actor will be in studio to chat about being one of the world’s biggest action stars as his new movie The Commuter lands in cinemas.

Presenter Maura Derrane, Snapchat star James Kavanagh [the artist formerly known to ‘sheet readers as Exchequer Street Boy] and ex Irish international footballer Stephen Hunt will be joining Ryan to chat about the things they’d like to bin as 2018 gets underway.

Viewers will also be meeting some of the brightest minds from the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition including the winner of this year’s competition.

Plus music from The Academic; and following his health scare after the Late Late Country Special a hale and hearty Charlie Landsborough returns to perform.

Sean Spicer, this is not gonna be good, might watch this interview from behind the couch.

No doubt Liams old acting teacher will be in the audience, and he'll have to rehash the lines from taken to.

The Spicer interview will be very tame.

Liam Neeson, Maura Derrane, James Kavanagh and Stephen Hunt are also going to be on. The misery will be provided by Deborah Somorin, who became homeless at 13, pregnant at 14, lost her mother to suicide at 17 and works for PwC now as an accountant.

Wonder if it is recorded or live? If it's live, it'll be interesting to see he says about the latest happenings.

Tubs is blessed that he has Spicer in on a day where Trump has said something controversial.

I mean, the chances of that must have been, like amazingly huge, so bigly big.

I think Trump has had like 4 of the most amazing press secretaries ever.

Even Liam wouldn't walk down Parnell street at this time.

He got past everything in Taken - but the Luas - **** off

2.8 seconds into the Young Scientists, which should be a feelgood genuine celebration of talented schoolkids, and we're being warned about predatory assault drugs in drinks.

Spicer will know full well what he will be asked and will have his answers already planned.

It's wouldn't be the late late without a depressing ending to the show

In fairness for all the negativity about Ireland and the youth of today.

Go into that exhibition and you can see why companies are coming to Ireland - tax one thing , but we should be proud of our kids.

This image of backwards Ireland is 50 years our of date

    Science, Technology and self confidence.

Also - some fantastic teachers out there.

I think the last time Liam Neeson was on, was the 50th anniversary LLS show

He was as pissed as most of the posters here were, that was a brilliant night.

    Jaysus

    Was that the cancer slot.

I can imagine Ryan screaming to put the breaks on a project like that.

"Cure Cancer? Are you mad? How would we fill the show? More RTE guests? IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT?"
