What's with all the people selling broadband on Facebook groups? €40pm/12 month contract, 100mb fibre optic etc.

    Need to be more specific.

100 Mbit/s sounds like a standard VDSL/FTTC product and is most likely on OpenEIR lines.

They're all over the selling groups offering. Broadband. I suspect it's some sort of Vodafone deal they're selling. I just wonder what's their cut and why do it through then instead of an actual company.

As you said .. probably some Vodafone deal or another company. And either they get a percentage or they get a free internet connection for referring x amount of customers.

Not uncommon. Obviously it seems to be worth their while.

    Fishing for idiots.

Just like the insurance scammers. Take money, give false info, disappear.

Its not fishing its Eir Broadband. Anyone that works in a meteor/Eir store is probably getting commission or there's an incentive driving it. Sales is Sales no matter where you get it.
