Wetroom gone wrong advice

Hi, just looking for some advice

We had our bathroom redone before Christmas, the house is an old Victorian building and the bathroom is upstairs.
It was was plumbed years ago we just wanted to freshen it up and make it a wet room.

Unfortunately the person we got in didn’t level the floor correctly when laying the ducaboard and tanking system and the water from the shower doesn’t drain correctly (it goes past the drain and into the bathroom)

They have come back to redo it, and told us that they would be taking up all the floor tiles and some of the wall tiles and redoing all the leveling etc
It now turns out they want to scim over the new tiles and then lay tiles over this to create the correct levels.
This sounds like a bit of a cop out to me, apart from it raising the floor and putting extra weight on the beams it seems like it’s putting a plaster on an issue rather than fixing it.

Or am I wrong and this is an acceptable solution?

Thanks for any advice you can offer

Not an acceptable solution, take it up and do it again.
