    Hi

If i were to buy a house that was built in 2016 but which was a self build and the builder had opted out of the Assigned Certifier requirements would i be able to get a mortgage on that property (assuming that the older style professional certification has been successfully completed)?

    Many thanks

Welcome to Boards and thanks for your post.

We have some information on our website about a self build mortgage. You can view this by clicking here.

We'd also recommend that you speak to a Mortgage Specialist. If you'd like to PM us we can arrange a call back for you.

You can do this by clicking on the link below my signature.

    Thanks again,
    Jane.
