    Currently clocking up between 20 & 25k kms a year in a 2016 Tucson 1.7D which is consistently returning 6.7l / 100.
Thinking of changing & one that I am considering is the Megane sport tourer 1.6 petrol.
Am I mad to be considering petrol with the mileage I'm doing ?
Previously drove petrol Subaru's up to 2013, Hyundai Veloster then Ix35 before the Tucson.
Have only been doing the above mileage since last year

No, but I would expect to consume at least 2427713.gif more.https://www.spritmonitor.de/en/overview/41-Renault/372-Megane.html?fueltype=2&constyear_s=2015&power_s=200&power_e=210&powerunit=2

So if you're doing 25 kkm, your annual fuel bill would go up from ~€2100 to ~€2850.

No, but been mad would help. Seriously I wouldn't do it if you're going to be doing present mileage for the foreseeable future.

Won't you lose money trading a tuscon against a small car? The dealer will be delighted to see you coming.

Only seen now it's an estate, is a 1.6 petrol undersized for that car?

No, it is not... Do you need more than 205 PS?

    @ Dakota
The 1.6 petrol puts out stated 205 bhp so should be enough !

I'd say you won't really notice much in the difference in fuel bills tbh.
