Cryptic Pregnancy

Does anyone have any experience of a cryptic pregnancy? Its where someone is pregnant but she doesnt show signs of pregnancy and she doesn't know she is pregnant.

Last summer a condom broke on me and my boyfriend. I usually track my cycles and I was certain ovulation passed so I wasn't worried. My period came and I put it to the back of my mind. Before that period I suffered from sever stomach cramps which left me sick. It wasn't unusual for me to suffer before and during my period. My period came like clockwork work since then. However, although they are the same in length, cramping hasn't been bad.

Thing is, since November, my clothes are feeling tighter. I put on some weight too. Only recently weighing myself. I've always been overweight but this has been the biggest change in such a short time for me.

October, November, December were stressful months for me and I wasn't eating properly and skipping meals often and forgetting to eat.

I suffered a great deal of stress previous to this too and I read online that cryptic pregnancies can occur due to stress.

There's something in the back of my mind thinking, what if I'm pregnant but I don't know it. I know it's daft. I took a pregnancy test and it showed up negative.

Honestly....if your periods are like ckockwork and the test is negative, then I'd say no, you aren"t pregnant.

If you wanted you could do another test but I would say it's quite unlikely.

It's very simple, if you are piling on weight and can say hand on heart that you have done nothing to cause it, then go to your GP. Bloodwork will show if you are pregnant or not, and failing that an ultrasound.

Might be worth getting your thyroid levels checked at the GPs. This could explain the weight gain.
