Does the speed camera van get a pic of the driver at night?

    Does the picture of the driver come into context though? Like I know in certain countries they have to capture the drivers face but I've never heard of it being brought up in a case here?
    Genuine question by the way.

    There was an episode of columbo once where a photo of the driver was taken by Alex camera at night. Turned out the driver was wearing a mask that made it look like it was the dead guy driving. Night quality was hard to tell, but Columbo spotted an issue with the shadows.
    But like poster above, I'm not sure if would matter in any non - murder situation
